The Domestic Policy Caucus today wrote a letter to Michigan legislators, urging them to oppose an expansion of 340B, as contained in HB5350.
In part, DPC wrote, “If they were made aware of it, most Michiganders probably would find it baffling that their state legislators are considering the expansion of a massive federal healthcare mandate. It’s troubling that this appears to be a ‘lame duck’ priority, with little discussion about the financial impacts of the policy.”

On October 26, NoGovInternet organized a panel event with a group of Cache County residents to discuss priorities for Cache County, including water, transportation, public safety and community growth. On the panel was Cache County Sheriff Chad Jensen, Utah House Representative Casey Snider, Hyde Park City Mayor Bryan Cox and Cache County Attorney Taylor Sorensen.
Former Speaker of Utah House Greg Hughes moderated the discussion and highlighted that municipally owned broadband leads to debt and wasted taxpayer money and does not provide internet to the isolated communities in need.

On November 13, National Popular Vote senior advisor, Patrick Rosenstiel, joined the A Gentleman’s Disagreement Podcast to spread awareness about the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.
Following the election, Rosenstiel said, in part, “I think we just watched the last presidential election where four out of five American voters are ignored, Republican trapped behind the blue wall or a Democrat in Oklahoma, those people matter in presidential elections too, their votes shouldn’t be ignored. We should be electing a president of the United States, not the battleground states.”

Domestic Policy Caucus Secretary/Treasurer Kent Kaiser, Ph.D., penned an op-ed for the DC Journal, an Inside Sources publication, "States Are Poised to Restrict Credit Access in 2025."
Kaiser wrote in part, “The move to restrict credit will be dressed up as a form of “consumer protection,” but make no mistake: It will reverse a trend of increased access to credit that we’ve been enjoying for decades, and it will hurt the people it is ostensibly designed to protect.”

Frankly, it's for anyone that believes that every voter, in every state should be politically relevant, and I think it’s for any voter who thinks we can have a better politics in this country if the principle of one person one vote applies to presidential elections.”

To open the discussion, Cass said, “Right now, under our current system, four out of five American votes simply don’t matter. If you’re not in one of the handful of swing states, it’s like you didn’t even cast a vote. So right now, the majority of voters, four out of five, their will, when it comes to out most important office is simply ignored. The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact is a way to rectify that, and make sure that every American vote is counted equally, regardless of where they live.”

DPC Appears on KY3 Missouri Opposing 340B Expansion
On Thursday, Missouri Governor Mike Parson opted out of taking action on a bill, SB 751, aimed at expanding the out-of-control 340B program in the state.
On Thursday, Missouri Governor Mike Parson opted out of taking action on a bill, SB 751, aimed at expanding the out-of-control 340B program in the state.
Following the Governor’s decision, DPC said this, “While the required discounts are supposed to be passed on to low-income consumers, instead what happens is the hospitals charge the normal price to your insurance or to the patient and keep that money.” DPC stands firm in its support of better access to medicines for people in need, especially in rural Missouri.
The governor’s inaction means the bill will become law by default and take effect August 28.

National Popular Vote is a plan that some very smart people came up with, and it's an agreement amongst states to award their electoral votes to the candidate that receives the most popular votes across all fifty states and the District of Columbia.”
